X-rated star hits back at bullies who call her a ‘bad mother’
An Adelaide mum who is a star on an adults-only subscription video platform has revealed the disgusting treatment she receives for being a mum.
An adult industry star has hit back at bullies who call her a “bad parent” and say she “shouldn’t be a mum” because of her line of work.
Adelaide mum-of-two Tori Hunter has been working in the adult content creation space for over 10 years, and says she absolutely loves her job.
The 29-year-old told news.com.au that people working in this “taboo” line of work are unfairly judged and often looked down upon by some members of society.
When you add being a parent to the mix, she says these negative ideas are usually only amplified – with people often feeling even more entitled to voice their opinion on the matter.
Tori is now stepping up to the bullies and sharing her story in the hopes it will help others parents who have been in similar situations feel less alone.
“I’ve been in this line of work for about 10 years and I love it,” she told news.com.au.
“I used to work with magazines, when print was still a major thing. This eventually transitioned to online platforms.
“I also use to do topless waitressing, which I feel helped improve my confidence greatly.
“Becoming a mother has been my greatest achievement. I adore my kids, they’re my whole world.
“They’ve given me a sense of purpose, meaning and direction.”
Tori believes that mothers especially are harshly criticised if they choose to work in the adult industry.
But she strongly feels that no parent should ever feel guilty for providing for their children and being financially stable.
At the moment, Tori works both as a cosmetic tattoo artist and an adult content creator.
“I do feel like we’re looked down upon, but I am hopeful that this attitude is improving,” she said.
“I’m proud of the fact I’m bringing in a steady income from two jobs that I love. I am living my life in my own way.
“The freedom I get from working for myself means I can spend more time with my kids. It gives me the time to make those memories and be the best mother I can be.”
“This is what is working best for me and my family right now. It is nobody else’s business.
“People will usually say things ‘aren’t your kids embarrassed’ or imply that I’m a bad mum.
“I really don’t waste my time and energy on closed minded people. I used to ‘bite back’ and say something in reply to the mean comments.
“But now I just ignore it. No response is the best response.
“The only people who I would allow to judge my parenting are my children.
“My oldest is nine, it hasn’t affected him. If my career ever did, then I would navigate what to do.
“My kids mean everything to me, and I live my life for them.”
Earlier this month, a US mother spoke out after her seven-year-old son was suspended from school due her career in the adult industry.
Sara Blake Cheek was reported to Orange Country Public Schools, Florida, for her X-Rated content page after it was discovered by parents.
In turn, Sara was forced to homeschool her son after the school principal forced the child to leave.
“They never gave a reason or responded to us,” she explained.
“I just wanted to talk to the principal and hold her accountable for not being able to do her job without bias solely based on what a kid deserves without involving his parent.
“They just graduated him out and we homeschooled to make up for the time missed and he is now enrolled at another public school.”
Her public outcry follows another mum who was banned from volunteering at the same school because she also had an OnlyFans account.
As a result, Victoria Triece has filed a lawsuit against Orange County Public Schools.
The single mother spent more than five years volunteering at her boy’s school before a concerned parent sent an email to the principal about her day job.
She was then told to quit her volunteering role.
“The most exciting part of being a mom was to be involved in their lives,” she told the Washington Post.
“That was all I wanted for my kids.”
