Urgent recall on popular Kmart ANKO Gravity Bouncer
A second recall notice on a popular item from the discount superstore has been issued over a serious defect that could harm young children.
A popular Kmart baby bouncer has been urgently recalled over fears it could seriously harm or injure a young child.
Product Safety Australia issued the alert on the ANKO Gravity Bouncer from the discount store on Wednesday night, stating a defect on the locking clip between the base of the seat and the stand could cause the baby seat to collapse.
“If the locking clip between the base of the seat and the stand is not correctly released prior to folding, damage could occur to the product, resulting in possible collapse upon subsequent uses,” the notice reads.
“If the product collapses, there is a risk of an injury to a young child.”
Consumers should immediately cease using this product and return the product to any Kmart store for a full refund.
An alert was first issued at the start of December but due to the serious nature of the defect and potential harm Product Safety Australia has issued the notice again.
Affected bouncers will bear the keycode 42821458 and were sold between January 16 and July 23 this year.
