Tradies’ surprise gesture to young boy goes viral
A woman thought tradies couldn’t wait to leave her home after her son kept “hounding” them, but she couldn’t have been more wrong.
A young boy was thrilled when he found out a team of electricians would be working on his home for two months.
Theo, 5, was so excited about having the tradies over that his mother said he was “obsessed” with wanting to help them.
He hounded the men with questions, brought them refreshments and even assisted to count the sockets in each room.
And despite all his hard work, the young boy was still shocked when the electricians sent him a “pay packet” with £15 ($A20) inside.
“The sweetest act of kindness from the electricians that Theo has hounded with questions, kindness and constant offers of help while they worked. Thank you Seytons Electrical, you made his day!!” his grateful mother posted on Twitter.

The UK-based business, located in East Yorkshire, broke down Theo’s contribution into five categories including measuring items, baking them (yummy) cookies and for his quality assurance (asking lots of questions).
“We have had the electricians in every other week for the past 6 weeks and Theo has been obsessed with them!!! He has hounded them with questions, kindness and constant offers of help!!” she said in a separate social media post.
“I laughed that they would be the sick of the sight of us and happy when the work was finished.”
However, she found out was wrong when one of them popped back over on Monday to finish something and surprised Theo with his pay slip.
“Quite possibly the sweetest act of kindness I’ve ever seen!!!!” his mother said again.

Both her Twitter and Instagram posts have gone viral with people leaving hundreds of comments also commending the electrical company on their sweet gesture.
“What a kind thing to do and your son will remember his first job for life, also what a wonderful company to do that. I hope they get loads of work on the back of their kindness,” one woman posted.
“Buzzing for your boy! This is just wonderful. That company has (love),” said another.
“That’s so sweet!! I remember getting a gift voucher from my work experience and thought it was the best thing ever!!!” a third person commented.

It’s not the first time a tradie has put a smile on a young boy’s face.
Last year, a mother also shared a picture on Twitter of a builder’s printed “pay packet” letter for her six-year-old son after he had been working on the family home.
The British woman said she had her patio renovated and her son Harry loved going out and helping the builder.
“So it made his day to receive this. What an example of kindness,” she said alongside a snap of the note.
