Shoppers go crazy over these new Ikea items
Shoppers have taken to TikTok to share their favourite Ikea products – but neither of items causing the biggest fuss are furniture.
Shoppers have gone crazy over these new Ikea items.
A video posted to TikTok has fans of the Swedish furniture giant beside themselves after featuring a set of stunning glasses.
A beautiful set of champagne coupes to make even Gatsby jealous is also making the rounds online.
Sure to brighten up any dinner party, Sällskaplig is a set of four glasses for just $18.
Although intended to be glasses, many thought they would make great candle holders or dessert bowls.
“Walk, don’t run,” one person said.
Another added people would “thank them” for bringing the item to their attention.
Another item people on TikTok are getting excited about is the Saxborga storage box with a mirror lid.
The box, which features two layers, a hidden compartment and a mirror, has dividers inside to make things accessible and easy to find.
It then all stacks on top of each other.
Many thought it would be perfect as a make-up storage box.
“It’s a bento box for make-up and it’s perfect,” one person commented online.
Another simply said: “I need this immediately.”
The item retails for just $25.
People were also excited for items not currently available in Australia.
These two items made out of the same material as the store’s iconic shopping bags – a blue bucket hat and tiny coin purse.
“OMG! Have you seen these? The little bag is too cute,” the TikTok video is captioned.
Posted by @shoppingismycomfort, the clip has garnered more than 17,600 likes, with many saying they wanted to get their hands on the products, and others still suggesting their own ideas for similar products, such as a belt bag.
But some viewers weren’t fans of the items.
“Proof that people will really just buy anything,” one person said.
Another added: “Ikea taking it too far.”
In Australia, the hats were initially released in 2020 as part of the Knorva collection and sold for $3.50 each.
However, the bucket hats are no longer available.
The key rings are being discontinued in Australia for now but you can still snap them up in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne - except for the Springvale store - for now.
Ikea’s most popular items are currently the Variera storage boxes and Bumerang hangers.
