Couple stuns with massive height difference

A young couple with a huge height difference have detailed the difficulties they face in their relationship.

Ashlyn Bischoff, 22, started dating Dylan Porter, 24, after meeting at university on a night out.

The pair said they “got on like a house on fire”, but despite their undeniable chemistry, people are often stunned by their relationship.

You see, while Ashlyn stands at 158cm tall, her boyfriend measures 210cm – leaving the pair with a dramatic 52cm height difference.

Their visible gap in height has led to the pair fielding deeply personal questions and remarks from people they meet, and while Ashlyn says most are just “curious”, it does wear thin after a while.

“People will see us and instantly start asking personal and intimate questions,” Ashlyn, from Tampa in the US state of Florida, said.

“There’s also a lot of stares and comments in public, but that happens to Dylan in general because he is a giant.

We don’t give much thought or attention to that, it’s more the people who make sly remarks or once again, say something inappropriate.”

After noticing their eye-catching height difference made them stand out, the pair began sharing details of their life together on TikTok, where their videos regularly amass millions of views and “likes”.

“At first, Ashlyn noticed people staring more than I would because I have always been tall and my family is tall, so I was used to it,” Dylan shared.

“I only really started to realise how head-turning our height difference is when we started posting on social media.”

At home the pair have had to adjust, with Ashlyn regularly not being able to reach items that Dylan has put on high shelves.

She also struggles to keep up with Dylan while walking and finds herself always looking up at her man.

But her partner does his best to accommodate her needs.

“All the mirrors in the house are to Ashlyn’s height,” Dylan shared.

“Things Ashlyn thinks are normal-sized are too small for me. I sometimes don’t fit in the framing for our videos and we have to reshoot them, as I’m always looking down.”

The pair also find it hard to take “normal-looking” pictures together, hear each other in busy places, drive each other’s cars and slow dance together.

“Dylan’s clothes and shoes take up so much space in a suitcase, we can’t share clothes,” Ashlyn added.

Social media users aren’t shy in leaving comments on their videos, with some even suggesting Ashlyn looks “too young” for Dylan because of their height disparity.

“I thought you were his daughter,” one said.

“Bro holding her up like he showing a cat it’s reflection on the mirror,” shared another.

As one joked: “At least winning an argument would be easy. Just toss your keys up on the fridge.”

“He’s so tall I thought she was like 12 when I first seen her lol. That’s some height difference lol,” another chipped in.

Speaking about some of the negative or strange comments, Ashlyn added: “We definitely have a mix of positive and negative comments on our videos.

“But overall our height difference is really eye-catching to people and people love to engage and share their opinions on our relationship and our videos.”
