‘Run’: $25 Aldi item you’ll have to be fast to snag
Customers of the German supermarket are frothing over a recent Special Buys item, with many rushing to get their hands on it.
One item at the German supermarket chain Aldi has set social media alight as shoppers declare they are eager to get their hands on it.
Aldi recently released a range of beach umbrellas as part of the supermarket’s Special Buys, and the $25 item is proving popular.
An excited shopper shared the handy beach item on social media, prompting many to declare they were keen to snag one.
“Run to Aldi right now,” the woman, who goes by the name @millyrosebannister online, said.
“Here’s why... these beach umbrellas are $24.99.
“They’re in the Special Buys section so you will have to be fast.”

The umbrellas, which went on sale on Christmas Eve, come in four different patterns each with fringing and provide a two metre canopy.
It also comes with a matching carry bag and a mechanism to put the umbrella at an angle.
Social media users were quick to share their eagerness to get their hands on it.
“OMG need,” one said.
“I hope mine [local store] has some,” another added.
As one shared that her father bought her one for Christmas.
The nature of Special Buys means that the item is only on sale while stocks last.
Aldi’s weekly Special Buys can often have people hunting at multiple stores, but in 2020 one woman has shared a “secret” tip to help you locate the deal you’re after.
The mum revealed you just need to type two words, “Get started” into a chat box on the Aldi Australia Facebook page, answer a few prompts, and it will tell you which stores within a 20km radius to you have the item you’re after in stock.
“Not sure if any of you know but if you message Aldi on Facebook and type ‘Get Started’ it’ll bring up a few weeks of special buy catalogue dates,” she wrote on the Aldi Mums Facebook page.
“Just click what you want and type your postcode, it’ll see if any stores within 20km have stock.
“Managed to get some goodies I couldn’t find a few weeks back!”
