Reality star Lauren Goodger slammed for photoshopping photo of her dad

At first it looked like a sweet photo of a father and daughter, but then fans noticed a glaring detail that was very strange indeed.

We’ve become accustomed to seeing altered images on social media by now but one UK reality star has taken it to the next level.

Former The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star Lauren Goodger has been called out after she posted a heavily photoshopped picture with her dad to Instagram.

The photo had been previously shared by Goodger in her 2013 autobiography but looked very different when she shared it again this week.

Five-year-old Goodger now had flowing long hair, bigger lips and darker eyes, while a squint she had in the original picture had also been removed.

Goodger’s father also got a photoshop makeover, with his skin smoothed out and bigger lips.

The differences between the two images were quickly picked up by fans, many of whom voiced their concern over the altered photo.

“I find it so sad that @LaurenGoodger edited her childhood photo, she’s changed her face & given herself long hair,” one person tweeted.

“Why do this? What would you do to your children’s photos?”

“There’s nothing wrong with the original photo,” one person also wrote, while another added: “Oh my lord! She even gave her dad fuller lips!”

Goodger’s spokesperson told The Sun the photo had been filtered by the star’s sister — and she had no idea the photo had been altered when she posted it.

“Lauren actually thinks it’s funny people are more worried about her photos being filtered than the pandemic or the global economy,” the spokesperson said.

WHO IS LAUREN GOODGER?

Goodger rose to fame after appearing on the UK reality TV show TOWIE from 2010 to 2012 and published a memoir Secrets of an Essex Girl in 2013.

Since then she’s appeared on multiple UK reality shows including Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Big Brother.

Goodger’s appearance has changed over the years leading to speculation she has had work done.

She’s also been accused of photoshopping her Instagram pictures in the past, with Goodger recently defending another reality star for altering photos.

Defending Kylie Jenner, who has also been accused of photoshop, Lauren wrote: “Loool don’t we all? Doesn’t mean she’s fat or ugly. It’s Instagram!!”
