‘Never give up’: Woman claiming to be Maddie McCann flees Poland amid $48,000 bounty

The woman who claims to be missing British girl Madeleine McCann has made a mad dash out of Poland with her private investigator.

Police dispute Julia Faustyna’s claims she is missing Madeleine McCann

The Polish woman who claims to be Madeleine McCann has fled to the US after receiving countless death threats – including one that put a $48,000 bounty on her head.

Julia Faustyna was whisked away from her homeland by California-based private detective and psychic medium Fia Johansson, who is working on the case and believes she could be the key to cracking it.

Dr Johansson, who is famous for working with police and private investigators to solve missing person cases around the world, said Ms Faustyna was not safe in Poland, Perth Now reports.

She said Ms Faustyna felt “terrified” after receiving threats and vile sexual messages from online haters.

Dr Johansson, who believes there are a lot of “unanswered questions” surrounding the mystery, flew to Poland last week where she talked to the 21-year-old’s doctors, school friends and police about the case.

But she felt she could not continue her investigations, with Ms Faustyna copping a barrage of abuse and threats – with one message putting the massive bounty on her head.

The pair have now flown to the US, with Ms Faustyna – who has also been forced to close her viral Instagram account after claiming to be the missing British girl who disappeared at the age of three in Portugal in 2007 – appearing in a post at LAX Airport.

“I’m excited, thank you, Fia,” she said. “Never give up and believe in yourself dreams will come true.”

Dr Johansson wrote: “Thanks for the extra protection; I love you USA. Welcome to USA Julia – the land of love and dreams.”

In an interview with The Sun, Dr Johansson said her priority was to keep Ms Faustyna safe.

“The haters have been attacking Julia since she came forward,” she said. “The situation in Poland is she has nobody. Her family won’t talk to her.

“Julia has never said, ‘I am Madeleine McCann.’ She has lots of questions about her past and she asked for help. We are open to all possibilities.”

Ms Faustyna has claimed a likeness to Madeleine through moles in the same places on her body, a similar speck in her eye, recollections of an assault from a previous suspect in the case and doubts over her own parent’s validity as blood relatives.

Her family in Poland have spoken out to deny the claims.

But Dr Johansson believes Ms Faustyna could be telling the truth.

“Having spent time with Julia and investigating this, I do not think she is lying or making things up for followers. Everything she says appears to be real,” she said told The Sun.

“She says she was abused as a child and we have found evidence in court that she was abused between 2011 and 2012.

“We have asked her family for a DNA test but her mother blocked her and they refused to even take our calls.

“We can’t get a court order to force them to because there is a law against it in Poland.

“We went to the police in Poland to report her concerns she may be Madeleine McCann but they said they do not have any investigations about any missing persons outside the country.

“The country where Maddie is missing from – Portugal – would have to force Poland to look at it.

“So the police cannot say whether she is Madeleine or not Madeleine.”
