Murderous wife Tatyana Remley looks unrecognisable in mugshot
A prison mugshot has emerged of a glamorous equestrian and socialite who admitted hiring a hit man to kill her husband.
She’s gone from glamour shots to mugshots.
Once-dazzling equestrian and socialite Tatyana Remley looks unrecognisable in her shocking first prison mugshot, obtained by the New York Post.
The picture is the first taken from behind bars since the 43-year-old pleaded guilty to attempting to hire a hit man to kill her estranged husband, Mark Remley.
Tatyana Remley was recently moved from a San Diego jail to a state prison in Chowchilla, Calif., after she pleaded guilty in December to solicitation to commit murder in connection to her plan to hire a friend to shoot and kill her husband, the New York Post reports.
Remley, who previously sported long blonde locks and posed in tight shorts or lingerie for sexy shoots, looked shell-shocked and worn in the prison photo taken on January 17 in Chowchilla.
The 180cm former model was arrested in August during a sting operation at a Solana Beach Starbucks when she told an undercover officer she wanted her husband killed.
She had initially asked a mutual friend to kill Mark, offering $2 million. Instead, the friend revealed Tatyana’s plan to Mark, who went to police.
The same friend had worked for the couple when they attempted to put on a multimillion-dollar equestrian acrobatics show called “Valitar” at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego in 2013.
It was around that time the “friend” had a sexual affair with Tatyana, sources told The Post.
Valitar was an “epic failure” and suddenly shuttered only after a few shows, leaving acrobats, performers and crew members demanding their promised wages.
Mark Remley filed for bankruptcy on his business entity and left the workers empty-handed, his former business partner Erik Martonovich told The Post.
However, Martonovich said Mark continued to message him and tried to entice him back to San Diego with another business plan.
“But that went nowhere, because I was told [Mark] was trying to convince me to sleep with Tatyana while he watched,” Martonovich said. “They are crazy!”
The estranged couple, who were married for 12 years, were regular swingers and even participated in a 2017 Showtime docuseries called “Naked SNCTM.”
Tatyana filed for divorce on July 11, claiming Mark held a gun to her head. She also claimed one of her estranged husband’s friends threatened her “Godfather-style.”
Remley denied the allegations. Three weeks after filing for divorce, Tatyana was arrested and charged with solicitation of murder, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.
Tatyana pleaded guilty on December 28 and was sentenced to three years and eight months. However, court records viewed by The Post show she could be eligible for parole as early as June 2025.
Martonovich said he isn’t worried if the former wannabe socialite-turned-conwoman is released early on good behaviour.
“I just don’t think she’s smart enough to accomplish anything else given that she couldn’t execute her plan in any worse way other than going straight to the police station and telling them, ‘Hey, I was thinking of killing my husband. Is that OK?’
“If she gets out in a year, I wouldn’t be shocked if she shows up back in San Diego wearing a crop top and daisy dukes, riding around the street and telling everybody she does something amazing that she knows nothing about. That’s Tatyana.”
