A mother-of-22 has revealed she is anxiously waiting for her husband’s safe return after he was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

Russian woman Kristina Ozturk, 25, who lives in Batumi, Georgia, has spoken out about how hard life has been as she awaits the return of her husband, Galip Ozturk, 57, who was arrested on May 31.

Kristina already had one child from a previous relationship when she met Galip, a Turkish businessman who reportedly owns a bus company and a hotel.

The pair paid more than $260,000 to surrogates between March 2020 and July 2021, producing 21 children – and since then spend a further $124,000 a year on 16 live-in nannies who care for their large brood.

The family rose to fame after Kristina revealed she wanted 100 children, at a cost of $12,500 for each surrogacy in Russia.

However, their plans to grow their family were put on hold after Galip was arrested following a police raid, accused of money laundering and falsifying documents, Bloomberg reported.

In a recent Instagram update, Kristina revealed life has been difficult following her husband’s arrest.

“Many of you noticed that due to the events that happened in our family, it became more difficult for me to maintain the page,” Kristina wrote on Instagram, adding to a previous post where she felt life was “hard” without her husband as she was used to him being home.

“It’s hard to talk about some everyday things or joys when all thoughts are far away and only busy waiting for my husband to return to our home️.

“I’m sure this day will come soon, but for now I want to thank you very much for your support and kind words. It’s very important.”

The couple met in Georgia when Kristina, a former stripper, was on holiday there from Russia.

Galip Ozturk fled to the country in 2018 after being sentenced to life imprisonment in relation to a 1996 murder in his home country of Turkey, The Daily Mirror reported.

He was convicted of ordering the murder of a man named Kuvvet Köseoğlu, with an appeal to the Supreme Court upholding his sentence.
