Mr Beast’s co-host Ava Kris Tyson has broken her silence following allegations she sent inappropriate messages to a minor.

Tyson, 28, appeared alongside her friend Jimmy Donaldson on his massively popular YouTube channel Mr Beast for many years.

However, Tyson announced this week she would step away from the channel that has more than 305 million subscribers, the US Sun reported.

“I would like to apologise for any of my past behaviour or comments if it hurt or offended people,” Tyson shared on X.

“It was not my intent.”

Tyson had recently come under fire for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor whom she met after the fan won an onion competition. The fan was 13 and Tyson was 20.

At the time Tyson went by the name Chris Tyson as she had not come out as transgender.

Tyson and the fan messaged each other for a few years on public online forums before meeting in person when the teen turned 16.

“Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things Mr Beast and social media to focus on my family and mental health,” Tyson said.

The fan, who is now an adult, said they weren’t a victim and even defended Tyson but admitted that some of the messages were “edgy” and “inappropriate”.

Donaldson has yet to comment on the allegations and the last video posted to the Mr Beast account was 10 days ago.

The allegations come just a month after Dr DisRespect, a popular live streamer, admitted to sending suggestive messages to a minor and was black-listed from the community.

SIDEKICK

Before her departure, Tyson was among the most recognisable people on the Mr Beast channel besides Donaldson.

She appeared in several of Donaldson’s videos and hosted the channel, Beast Reacts.

Tyson married Katie Tyson in 2018 and the couple welcomed their first child in June 2020, however, the two revealed in March 2023 that they were no longer together.

In April 2023, Tyson shared on social media that she had begun hormone replacement therapy.

“Informed consent HRT saved my and many others’ lives,” Tyson wrote.

“The hurdles gender nonconforming people have to jump through to get lifesaving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me.

“Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies.”

On an episode of Anthony Padilla’s Spent A Day podcast, Tyson revealed that she identifies as a woman.

“I am a woman. She/her!” she said.

“I’ve never said that publicly but I’ve been fully confident in that decision for over a year now.”
