Aussie influencer Mikaela Testa revealed she was told to “cover up” while on an exotic island, but her latest post has left followers confused.

Aussie influencer Mikaela Testa left very little to the imagination after posing up a storm in a revealing “underboob” bikini.

The 22-year-old is currently holidaying with boyfriend Atis Paul in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, a remote territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean, 2750km northwest of Perth, Western Australia.

She took to her Instagram on Wednesday to share several racy snaps posing in crystal blue water while flaunting a skimpy floral pink bikini.

In one photo, the Brisbane influencer could be seen bending over flashing part of her rear to the camera with the act leaving some fans confused.

“Wasn’t you told by the locals to ‘cover up’ or was Atis bluffing,” one follower asked.

It comes after Mikaela – who is best known for crying when Instagram withdrew its ‘likes’ feature back in 2019 – said locals had complained about her signature micro bikini.

She shared several racy snaps.

The influencer’s post left some fans confused after she was told to ‘cover up’.

“So I landed in Cocos yesterday and the lady who owns the Airbnb that we’re staying in received some calls from some locals saying I should be wearing something more culturally appropriate as this island is predominantly Muslim,” she said in a TikTok on Tuesday.

“So today I am covering up to show some respect, and I respect their wishes 100 per cent.”

Some fans criticised her attire, saying she was wearing a “skin-tight” dress that was still visible – and that it had cut-outs on her hips.

“If your covering up to show respect why are you only covering your hair?” one user said.

“What are you talking about you didn’t cover nothing – she wasn’t talking about your hair,” another added.

In her most recent pink bikini snaps, some commented how “amazing” she looks, while others continued to rage at the influencer.

“You are doing everything wrong. Muslims are very, very serious about covering up,” one person wrote.

Following her “cover up” video, many had come to her defence.

“At least she’s trying to show respect. She clearly isn’t fully aware of everything in the culture but she’s making an effort to respect locals,” one said.

“I’m so confused; she covered as much as she could. She tried to be as respectful as she thought she could, what’s with the comments,” another asked.

One more added: “Thank you for being respectful about other religions and covering up instead of being like ‘it’s 2022’ lots of respect.”
