MAFS bride Hayley Vernon claims promo photos are ‘edited’

A new Married At First Sight bride has seen red over her promo photos for the show, accusing Channel 9 of heavily “editing” her.

MAFS 2019: Where are the cast now?

Married At First Sight hasn’t even aired its first episode for 2020 and already the drama has begun.

The reality television show, which is entering its seventh season, will return to Aussie screens on February 3.

However, one bride, Hayley Vernon, is already causing a stir after criticising Channel 9 for releasing a promo photo of her that she claims has been heavily photoshopped.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 32-year-old shared a side-by-side snap of herself after a workout alongside an image being used to promote the upcoming show.

“Me after training tonight vs mafs edited pics … whoever did these should be fired,” she wrote, adding: “Apparently I have light brown hair too?”

Vernon, who hails from Melbourne, is a finance broker with a love of tattoos and an unexpectedly dark past.

Promotional material for the upcoming show revealed the 32-year-old was recovering from drug addiction and turned to health and fitness as a way to help herself heal.

“As a recovered drug addict, Hayley has been through a tougher life than many,” 9 Nowreported.

“But it was health and fitness that pulled her out of the darkness, and she has never looked back.”

Vernon’s dedication to an active life can be clearly seen on her Instagram account where she is no stranger to sharing snaps showing the results of her efforts.

Alongside posts detailing her various workouts, the fitness fanatic also regularly shares pictures of herself wearing skimpy bikinis.

Her gym-honed physique, set to become the envy of thousands, was also transformed in 2018 with the addition of breast implants, Daily Mail Australia reported.

Although MAFS 2020 is set to feature an entirely new line-up of singles looking for love, a familiar face is set to make a return.

Late last year, a promo for the show revealed fan favourite Elizabeth Sobinoff was making a comeback.

Last season wasn’t easy on Sobinoff, who “married” fellow contestant Sam Ball in 2019.

Throughout the series, her husband infamously fat-shamed her and then “cheated” with fellow bride Ines Basic.

Since leaving the show, the 27-year-old has transformed her appearance, swapping her bleach blonde hair for a natural brunette look. She’s also lost weight.

Sobinoff showed off her fresh look in the new promo, proudly announcing: “I’m back!

“I’m going to get the love that I deserve,” Sobinoff says to the camera before crossing her fingers.

It is believed the MAFS star will be returning to the show as an intruder bride, with fans overjoyed at the news of her return.

“Love that Elizabeth is back and looking for love,” one Facebook user said.

“Can’t wait to watch Elizabeth again … best drama ever,” another said.

Another person said they were going to watch the show “just for Elizabeth”.
