Instagram model’s video complaining about face mask ‘police’ backfires
A 22-year-old who filmed a man yelling at her on a train platform for not wearing a mask, has had viewers turn on her in the now viral post.
An Instagram model who filmed a commuter confronting her on a train platform for not wearing a mask has seen the footage backfire.
The 22-year-old, who goes by Duana W, filmed the man agressively yelling “f***ing sort your sh*t out” while at waiting for a train in London on Sunday.
She then shared the clip to Twitter, stating she was “just minding my own business when the mask police came to attack”.
But while the internet agreed his behaviour was unacceptable, many said he had a “valid point” about her not wearing a mask.

The video starts with the masked man approaching her, shouting while she waits for a train at Tottenham Court Road station.
“There might be other people who are scared to confront you,” he can be heard yelling.
“But I’m not. F***ing sort your sh*t out, yes film me because you’re a d***head without a mask. You’re a c**t putting people’s lives at risk.”
The man finally walked away after another passenger intervened telling him to step back.
Duana W, who has a Instagram following of 11,000 and more than 1600 on Twitter, hit back at him online for being “all up in my face” by sharing the alarming encounter.
But despite people agreeing his behaviour “was 100 per cent wrong”, many stressed she was breaking laws as face masks have been compulsory on public transport in London since June 15.

“I would agree that the delivery is off – especially when talking to a woman, but at this point, with folks continuing to die and the curve not flattening, people are just selfish,” one person wrote online.
“His delivery is wrong, but his point still 100 per cent stands,” said another.
“Disgraceful, rude way he spoke to you, but, it’s a responsibility to wear a mask now,” a third commented.
A fourth person agreed the man was “right”, saying unless she has a medical issue “which you clearly haven’t otherwise you would have spoken up”, she should be wearing a mask.
“Everyone should be wearing a mask as per the instruction. It’s you that are passing the virus around. You should be embarrassed,” a fourth person wrote.
Duana W defended her position in a further tweet, stating “nothing about this is right”.
Nothing about this is right. Are you lot ok in the head? Is it anyoneâs business why someone else isnât wearing one?? You do realise that people are exempt for various reasons from wearing one and that needs to be respected. I dont owe any random nutcase an explanation for that.

After the footage went viral attracting more than 8000 comments and nearly one million views, the model hit back claiming she does “wear a mask when it’s needed”.
“However, it wasn’t needed on a virtually empty, socially distanced, hot Central line platform at 11pm on a Sunday night,” she said.
“He was clearly looking for a fight which is why I didn’t provoke him further by answering him and I doubt he cared for anyone’s health as he claims when clearly doesn’t care for his own.”
She also condemned those who defended the man’s actions.
“Oh and you are sick in the head if you think the manner in which he approached me at almost 12am at night was acceptable in any circumstance. Hope all your mums see your nasty comments,” she responded.

The geezer is a bit excited but he's right. It's illegal not to wear a mask. Hardly anyone is exempt. I bet you're not. You're lucky it wasn't the real police. Put it on or stay indoors.

How he approached the issue was wrong and way too aggressive, but his message is right. It doesnât matter how busy the tube is, or how hot it is, unless you have medical exemption we should all wear a mask to keep ourselves and others safe

British Transport Police confirmed on Tuesday they were investigating the matter after the post went viral.
“We are aware of this video that is being circulated on social media and our officers are looking in to it further,” a British Transport Police spokeswoman said.
Wear a bloody mask ð· itâs not hard to understand is it? Maybe his approach was wrong but at least he had the guts to challenge. It doesnât matter what time of the day itâs a law to wear a mask on public transport, Simples !! ð
