Inmate hides loaded gun in X-rated body part

A woman will face 10 years behind bars after she pleaded guilty to smuggling a 10cm-long weapon inside her.

A US woman has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars after she smuggled a loaded mini gun into a jail by hiding it inside her vaginal cavity.

Amy Wilhite, 39, was originally arrested on drug and weapons charges, however, upon entering the Boone County jail, in Columbia, on February 14, she had concealed a small .22 caliber gun inside her body.

On April 19, Wilhite pleaded guilty to a felony delivery or possession of a weapon at a county jail, and was handed a sentence of 10 years in state prison.

Wilhite underwent both a “thorough” pat search and a strip search at the jail, however, the miniature gun wasn't located until two weeks later.

Correction officers discovered the weapon wrapped in plastic among her belongings in her jail cell, according to local publication, The Smoking Gun.

The 6cm long gun was fully loaded with five rounds and was described as a North American Arms .22 caliber revolver.

According to a probable cause, Wilhite admitted to possessing the firearm, but claimed “she was only holding it for another female detainee”, the Metro reported.

The claim was disputed by fellow inmates in her block who stated she was in possession of the firearm.

On April 19, Wilhite also pleaded guilty to the felony drug and weapons charges she was originally arrested for – and was ordered to serve five years on each conviction, with the sentences to run concurrently with the 10-year prison term.

It’s not the first time a woman has been jailed for hiding a loaded gun inside her vaginal cavity.

In 2015, Dallas Archer, 21, was stopped by police for speeding in her home city of Kingsport in Tennessee, and found to be driving without a licence in April 2014.

She was taken to Kingsport City Jail and a routine search being carried out “located an unknown item in her crotch”.

She was taken by a female jailer and a police officer to the bathroom where it was discovered that the ‘unknown item’ was a loaded handgun concealed in her vagina.

It was the same North American mini-revolver also found inside Wilhite.

The .22 calibre gun is the most popular of its kind. It is around two inches (5cm) high and one inch (1.54cm) wide, weighing 142 grams when unloaded.
