‘Hurry up’: Bride’s desperate plea angers

Marksteen Adamson was driving through South East London when he saw a stranded and “flustered” bride, known only as Anastacia.

A stranded British bride was left with no options but to hitchhike to her own wedding after three cancelled Ubers made her 45 minutes late for her own wedding.

Marksteen Adamson was driving through South East London for a reunion lunch with friends when he saw the bride, known only as Anastacia, attempting to cross the road.

He said she looked a little flustered and began to film as he thought it would be an amazing shot of her walking all dressed up.

In the video, posted to TikTok, the bride turned to Marksteen and began to approach his car.

“Can you give us a ride,” Anastacia asked.

She explained three Ubers had cancelled on her and her wedding party and she was running 45 minutes late to her own wedding.

“I’m running late to church,” she said.

“Please hurry!”

The group chatted during the 10 minute journey before Marksteen dropped the bride and her wedding party at the church.

They thanked him for his time and, when she approached the vicar, she relayed the story to him.

“We just met,” the bride said.

“No!” he exclaimed in shock.

The bride went on her merry way and Marksteen revealed she even invited him to join the special day.

“After I dropped her off I heard the sound of the organ ring out and knew everything was going to be alright. It was a beautiful sunny day,” he wrote.

Some accused the bride of not being grateful but Marksteen was quick to defend her.

“She was grateful, but to be fair on her, she was 45 mins late already and quite rightly had more important things on her mind,” he said.

Several social media users said it was a special and kind moment.

“This is literally like a movie scene SO CUTE,” one wrote.

Another said: “You saved the most special day of her life. I hope you win the euromillions lol.”
