A female traffic controller from the Gold Coast has revealed how much she makes in a week, showing her hours and earnings for each day.

Paris Taylor took to the social media app TikTok to shed light on what she brings home in the average 7-day period. The week she documented, she earned an astonishing $3500.

Paris said on Wednesday – her biggest day of the week – she worked 10.5 hours to bring home just under $800.

She matched that workload and pay packet on the Thursday.

On her final working day of the week, she worked 8.5 hours to bring home $580.

Paris added the course to become qualified as a traffic controller only takes a day, as all you need is to do courses for traffic controlling and a white card.

“You’ll get a job easily,” she said.

Social media users couldn’t believe the pay cheque – a whopping $3500 – that came with working as a traffic controller on construction sites.

“How long is the course and stuff? I’m looking for a new job. Didn’t realise the money was that good,” one commented.

Another added: “I would stand out in 30 degree weather for this type of money.”

One said: “Not me always thinking about doing this and then this coming up.”

“No dramas until there’s no work for six months. Not a stable job,” another said.

According to employment listing website Talent, the average traffic control salary in Australia is $83,000 a year, with the most experienced making up to $96,000 per year.
