This is the shocking moment a furious woman unleashes on a group of influencers taking selfies on a Gold Coast street.
Reality star and content creator Tayla Mellington shared the unbelievable interaction on her TikTok account, where it has since racked up almost 70,000 views.
The 28-year-old Queenslander, who featured on season 3 of Love Island Australia, explained that she and her friends were snapping some Instagram pictures in front of Gold Coast residential building, Mali, when the woman approached.
“We were minding our own business, taking photos, and this chick comes up and starts abusing us,” she said.
“She’s like ‘you’re devaluing the property, we’re going to call the police, and we just didn’t say anything.
“And she said ‘you really don’t care do you?’ and I replied ‘no not really’.”
You know when someone is going at you, you just ignore it,” her friend Ruby Ennor – who was also on season 3 of Love Island Australia – added.
“We’re not channelling that energy. But she kept going.”
They claim that despite trying to ignore the woman, she continued on her ‘rant’.
“She was like, ‘would you stand in front of someone else’s house and take photos?’ and I’m like yeah, we do that,” she said.
“She said we were invading their privacy. I’m not going into their home, it’s out the front part is where we take photos.
“We’d never go into someone’s property.”
The women then go on to say that the stranger began insulting their line of work and physical appearances.
“Anyway, she keeps going, she says ‘why don’t you go get a real job? You don’t make money this way’,” Tayla said.
“Then she goes, ‘you’re not that attractive, if you were you’d get paid to do modelling’. And I was like, excuse me?
“She had a baby with her, just abusing us. She walked off and put the finger up at us.”
It was at that point that the women decided to film her, posting the follow up video on her TikTok account.
In the clip, it appears that the woman can be heard saying “if you were that attractive, you’d get a real job”.
Then another woman comes out of the building where they were taking pictures in front of, and tells the group that they should not be allowed to snap photos.
“I was like, ‘oh she is such a b*tch’ to my friends,” Tayla explained.
“And a lady comes out of the building and goes ‘what did you say?’ and I explained that this woman called us not pretty and not attractive.
“And she said that she shouldn’t have said that, but that she was sick of this type of thing [people taking photos in front of the building].”
People in the comments were shocked at the altercation, with some claiming a similar incident had occurred to them at the same location.
“Gosh I know exactly who you are talking about, the same thing happened to me there shooting for a brand,” one commented.
“Appalling coming from another woman and mother.”
“Another woman at the same place had this happen and caught it on camera!” said another.
“Like honestly how does it affect them? Life is way too short to let unimportant stuff like that ruin your day,” wrote one.
“You’re all so beautiful.”
Others however agreed with the stranger’s actions and said the women should not be taking pictures in front of a residential building.
“Why do you go onto others property? What do you expect” commented a user.
“Asking for permission from the residents is common courtesy.”
“Is it a good time to tell you that I agree with her?” said another.
“Get over yourself ladies.”
news.com.au understands that it is generally legal to take photographs on a public street and in front of a property, as long as that person does not enter the property.
