Fury as Sydney driver parks between two disabled spots
A Sydney driver who made a bad parking decision has been labelled “moronic” after a photo of the abysmal act was shared online.
Finding a parking spot can sometimes be a chore – especially in busy shopping centres and at the beach.
But one Sydney driver who clearly thought they’d had a stroke of genius has been slammed online after sneaking into the space between two disabled parking spots.
“Yesterday at Warringah Mall – seriously you did this?” a photo of the brazen act was captioned.
In the picture, you can see a black Holden parked over a space that had been blocked out with yellow lines, warning it was not for parking.
The small car looked extremely tight to the two cars beside it, both of which were disabled bays.
After being shared online, the driver was heavily criticised, with one labelling the act “moronic”.

“Those yellow marks are for people with wheelchairs or the like. How do u get out of ur car let alone into a wheelchair,” one person raged.
“Some people are beyond stupid,” another stated.
While one declared it was “outrageous”.
One woman responded saying she had parked in a disabled spot recently where someone had parked in the stripped area beside it.
“I was SO annoyed because it’s just wrong to do that,” she said, explaining thankfully they moved their car so she could get her walker out of the car.
Another woman shared a photo of a young child in a wheelchair, unable to get into their car because someone had parked on the stripes beside it.
“This is the reality and why the striped area is a no parking zone,” she wrote.
Many said the council should have been alerted while another suggested the car should have been towed – but as the parking is privately owned by Westfield, neither actions could be taken.
Not everyone agreed the driver deserved to be shamed online.
“Why do people care so much what other people do?? Live and let live,” one woman wrote.
The comment sparked a huge outpouring of anger from other users who defended shaming the post, writing it was a “big deal” and people needed to be aware to not park in striped zones.
