The backlash is continuing for Jadé Tuncdoruk, with a major company publicly cutting ties with her after her insensitive Uber Eats rant.

Controversial Sydney influencer Jadé Tuncdoruk has been dealt yet another blow, with a major company publicly cutting ties with her.

Tuncdoruk has come under increasing scrutiny in the last few months after it was revealed she had gone on a social media rant about foreign Uber Eats drivers and publicly pressured a small business into giving her a refund on a non-refundable accommodation deposit.

Now Cadbury, who had previously paid Tuncdoruk to promote their Caramilk ice cream on Instagram, has said it will no longer work with the influencer.

First reported on by The Daily Telegraph and later confirmed to news.com.au, the confectionary company said Tuncdoruk’s views “don’t reflect our values”.

“We have no plans to engage this influencer in the foreseeable future,” a spokesman told the Telegraph.

In January, a 2017 Facebook post Tuncdoruk made to Uber Eats about their “annoying non-English speaking delivery drivers” resurfaced.

She complained about the app’s GPS system, as well as writing that “when foreigners are delivering it takes twice as long for me to receive my then cold food”.

Tuncdoruk said it was “really annoying that you have so many non English speaking delivery people who can’t follow basic delivery instructions”.

The influencer later issued an apology for the Uber Eats complaint, writing on Instagram that she was sorry for her “hurtful comments”.

“I’m sorry to anyone I’ve hurt with my comments. I hold myself accountable for my actions,” she wrote.

“It doesn’t excuse anything but know that I have grown immensely in the past several years.

“I always do my best to be someone others can look up to and I know I’ve let people down and for that I’m truly sorry.”

The resurfaced Facebook post was shared by Instagram influencer watchdog account Celeb Spellcheck, who just days earlier revealed Tuncdoruk had used her followers to pressure a small business into giving her a $2000 refund on an accommodation deposit.

In the now-deleted post, Tuncdoruk told her followers she had requested a refund from Weekenda, “but they said the best they could do was put it back up online to be booked by someone else”.

“Six weeks out of the booking and we’ve asked again for a refund which they’ve denied,” Tuncdoruk’s post read.

She was also criticised for using her half a million strong Instagram following to pressure a small business into giving her a refund.

“They’ve had months to refund us for a booking we don’t need.”

The influencer went on to claim “they’re taking our money just because they can”.

She described it as “incredibly poor form and so disappointing”, adding that businesses were “taking advantage of people in the middle of a pandemic”.

After she included a link to the small business’ Instagram page, some of her followers lashed out at the company, with Tuncdoruk then shared another post announcing that Weekenda had agreed to refund her deposit.

Weekenda later spoke out about the incident, accusing Tuncdoruk of trying to “bypass the rules all of our other guests (and she) had agreed to, by using her social influence to put pressure on us”.

“We believe in the power of influencers, but using a following for personal gain at the loss and detriment to another small business, just isn’t cool,” Weekenda said, adding that the business had “really struggled” last year due to Covid lockdowns.
