Australian bodybuilder and actor Calum von Moger has shared graphic images of his injuries while posting “it’s nice to be alive” after an incident at his home that left him fighting for his life.
The 31-year-old three-time Mr Universe winner, dubbed Arnold 2.0, underwent a major operation after an incident at the home in Geelong on May 4 that left three windows smashed and Mr von Moger fighting for his life.
After falling from a second-storey window, he reportedly suffered a serious spinal injury that required surgery and is staring down a long road towards recovery, both physically and mentally.
Nearby construction workers said at the time they heard glass smashing, yelling and screaming before multiple police cars and ambulances arrived.
He spent 11 days in Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital.

“It’s nice to be alive,” he posted to Instagram overnight, with a photo citing a highlighted passage from the Bible: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
He subsequently posted a video showing the injuries he sustained in the incident.
“What waking up from a bad dream looks like…”, he wrote.
More videos followed on his Story, including a number of painful stitches and scratches across his body.
“God says come as you are, now when you have it all,” another quote read.
The bodybuilder was seen at his Mount Duneed home on May 20 where the alleged fall took place.
Large items such as a fridge and couch were seen being removed from the house and loaded onto a trailer.
Steve Greenberg, a rep for von Moger’s management company, told news.com.au last month that von Moger was in a stable condition.
A friend told The Sun “Calum is awake and recovering in hospital after surgery, he is surrounded by family and friends who are supporting him through this”.
Von Moger has split his time between California and Australia but the friend said he returned home late last year.
News of his fall sparked well wishes from around Australia and generated headlines around the world.
At the end of last month he escaped conviction after pleading guilty to possessing drugs, including methamphetamine and cannabis.
On January 31, von Moger was arrested after illicit drugs were found in his car. Police had pulled him over in Melbourne while he was driving without number plates.
Von Moger pleaded guilty to seven charges including possession of methamphetamine, cannabis, testosterone cypionate, proviplex and viaplex (a drug to help men with erectile dysfunction).
He was ordered to pay $500 to a court fund.

Mr Campigli said his client would be taking part in a rehabilitation program and von Moger will face court again later this year on another matter.
Von Moger is best known for playing Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 2018 American comedy-drama Bigger. He has 3.3 million followers and a clothing line.
