A FORMER Big Brother contestant is recovering after he was allegedly shot at during a violent “love triangle” gone wrong on the Gold Coast.
FORMER Big Brother contestant and well-known personal trainer Sam Wallace is recovering at home after being shot during what was believed to be a “love triangle” stoush.
The 25-year-old was in the carpark of Mike’s Kitchen in Merrimac about 3.30pm last Sunday when a man arrived at the restaurant, got out of the car and fired multiple shots from a handgun before driving off.

Mr Wallace, who did not want to comment when approached by the Gold Coast Bulletin, sustained multiple bullet wounds to his legs but drove himself to Robina Hospital for treatment.
The popular Gold Coaster has “paused” all work with his online fitness business, Daily FitFlix, as he undergoes rehab on nerve damage to a leg.
Police are still chasing the gunman and asked for anyone with information to come forward.
They said last week that all parties involved were known to each other and it was not a random attack, with a 19-year-old female “left behind” when the getaway vehicle left the scene.
She was later arrested after allegedly attempting to run from police.
At the time of the incident, Inspector Jim Plowman said it wasn’t a random attack.
“It wasn’t just warning shots,” he said.
A post on Mr Wallace’s business Instagram and Facebook accounts, which he runs with fellow trainer Sahra Ruddell, said their focus was his recovery.
“Due to unforeseen events Daily FitFlix is currently on hold until further notice,” the social media post read. “Our main focus right now is a speedy recovery and rehab for Sam.
“Thank you for all of your support with our ventures this year and we hope to be back with you soon.”
The fitness business offers online training tips and tutorials, and is followed by a large local cliental that includes Big Brother winner Ben Norris.
With almost 34,000 Instagram followers, Mr Wallace returned to his personal account on the weekend posting images of him sharing a coffee with friends.
He posted a picture showing his injuries with many of his followers saying “nice to see you out and about”.
Mr Wallace appeared on Big Brother in 2012 where he hooked up with fellow Coast contestant Layla Subritzky.
The couple split months later and speculation of his love life – including an alleged relationship with another contestant, Angie Murray, which he strongly denied – has been a hot topic in Gold Coast social circles ever since.
If you have information on the shooting phone Burleigh police on 5586 0444.
