Abbie Chatfield has gone viral for comparing a scary experience she had on a reality show to Donald Trump’s attempted assassination.

Abbie Chatfield has compared her experience on a reality show to former US President Donald Trump’s attempted assassination.

The 29-year-old took to TikTok to share how she felt her getting bitten by a snake while filming ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ back in 2021 was similar to Trump being shot at during yesterday’s rally.

“Trump getting shot in the ear and just missing his head is really similar to the time when I was on I’m a celebrity, get me out of here! and I got bitten by a non-venomous snake on my hand,” Chatfield said.

“It caused some headlines and people felt sorry for me, or they thought I was very brave for allowing Dr Chris Brown to take that snake off my hand.”

She said despite her horrifying experience on the show – which she ended up winning – she “felt sick” that something similar could happen to former US president.

Although she said she was “joking” she began to realise that what she was saying could potentially occur.

“But the point is, I won I’m a celebrity get me out of here. So I’m concerned,” she said.

“Oh well, you know. What can we do? He’s going to get in, this is crazy.

“I was doing a joke to start off with but now I feel sick.”

Investigations are continuing after Trump was almost shot while at a campaign rally over the weekend.

Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, from Pennsylvania, fired at the former US president during the rally in Butler, just outside Pittsburgh. Crooks was shot dead by the Secret Service.

Corey Comperatore, 50, who served as the fire chief for Buffalo Township, was shot and killed by Crooks while trying to protect his daughter from gunfire.

Two other victims, David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, were critically injured in the shooting. Both are in a stable condition, police said.

Many of Chatfield’s followers agreed with her prediction and shared their “concerns”.

“I think he was going to win before this tbh,” one said.

“But this absolutely sealed the deal.”

“We’re all concerned,” added another.

“Scary times.”

“The deep sigh and stare into space is so real,” commented one.

“Basically my first response to the whole thing.”

However, others thought comparing a snake bite to an assassination attempt was “silly”.

“Not really the same though because someone wasn’t trying to kill you,” commented one.

“I really respect & like you … but silly analogy!” shared another.

“Comparing an assassination attempt to a snake bite is fire,” one said.

“You know someone died right …”

During her time on the show, Chatfield was seen screaming and breaking down in tears when a snake wrapped around her hand and bit her when she was filming.

She was taking part in a challenge where she had to put her hand inside a box and guess how many critters were inside.

She had no idea there were snakes inside the box until she put her hand in.

The reality star was apprehensive to take part in the challenge, telling hosts Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris: “I’m scared.”

She had her hand in the box for less than 20 seconds when she suddenly screamed: “It’s biting me! It’s biting me! It’s biting me!”

A handler immediately ran onto the set to help Abbie as she cried uncontrollably on the ground with her arm in the box.

Dr Chris Brown ran over to assist the handler who could be seen untangling the snake from Abbie’s hand.

“It’s gonna be OK,” Dr Chris Brown told the distraught star. “There’s no venom.”
