December 2020 Photo of the Week prize winner, #newscomauphotos
We’re running a competition to see your best photos and snapshots of your life, Australia and the world around you.
The second prize has been awarded in news.com.au’s Photo of the Week competition.
The winning entry for December 2020 goes to James Adam for his photo of a cheeky, peg thieving kookaburra, scoring him a Sony Alpha 7C single lens camera kit, valued at $3899.
James Adam, TASMANIA
“One of my kookaburra visitors — this one was a funny young one who used to scatter piles of leaves and throw the pegs in the air and catch them while in Katherine, Northern Territory.”
Here are the other incredible photos that were short-listed for December’s prize:
Anthony Firth, NSW
“Dolphins casually drift past Eden on the sapphire coloured coastline.”
Jan Breckwoldt, NEW SOUTH WALES
There is still one camera to be awarded, so if you’ve snapped a prize-winning photo you can upload it here by January 29.
The a7C camera is Sony’s smallest and lightest camera and lens systems, but the company says its powers are mighty.
Advanced AF performance and functions, rapid-fire continuous shooting and a handy vari-angle LCD monitor help capture the action whenever it happens – the perfect tool to enhance any budding photographer’s creativity.
Anything you capture can be transferred directly to your smartphone or tablet – meaning you can share with friends and family in just moments.
