Dead woman found clutching dead grandkids in family bloodbath
Twin two-year-old boys were found dead in the arms of their deceased grandmother after a shocking knife attack that also killed their older sister.
A grandmother has been found dead, clutching the bodies of her two-year-old twin grandsons after they were killed in a stabbing attack. Her granddaughter was also killed in the massacre.
Russian woman Tatyana Krutova, 45, was looking after Veronika, 8, and twins Dmitry and Mikhail while their parents went for a walk in Likino-Dulyovo, 100km northeast of Moscow, The Sun reports.
But when mum Irina Klepinina, 28, and her husband returned from their walk, they found the door locked and called the police as the grandmother was not answering the phone.
Officers forced the door open, only to be confronted by a bloodbath.
Tatyana was found clutching the twin boys on the sofa, all with multiple knife wounds.
Veronika was found behind the sofa, also dead.
All four victims suffered at least 10 stab wounds each, reports say, with police saying two knives were used in the killings.
Reports say the grandmother’s nephew, Sergey Morozov, 32, was detained at the scene over the killing and officers are now waiting to question him. Mr Morozov was described as “shouting incoherently”.
Russia’s most senior criminal detective Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Russian Investigative Committee, has taken the shocking case under his personal control.
A neighbour told 360TV: “The couple were never without their children, they were always with them. This is just the best family.”
The couple have another child Olga, 6, who was not present when her siblings and grandmother were slaughtered.
Veronika was Irina’s daughter from her previous marriage.
Mr Morozov had travelled to Egypt and Turkey and is the son of Tatyana’s sister Marina.
Police said he had been detained on suspicion of murdering the woman and the three children.
