‘Cocaine Cassie’ denies earning any money from nude photos
Cassandra Sainsbury has revealed after five months outside prison her relationship with another inmate has ended.
Australian drug smuggler Cassandra “Cocaine Cassie” Sainsbury has denied reports she has been selling nudes photos for cash after being released early from her six-year jail sentence in Colombia for drug smuggling.
A provocative snap of the 25-year-old began circulating online on August 12, with the Herald Sun reporting the former personal trainer from Adelaide had fallen on hard times while on parole in Bogota.
While the racy image didn’t show Sainsbury’s face, she was identified by her distinctive flower tattoo that snakes her right hip.
In it, she is lying on a bed with a black G-string pulled up high on her waist, her top pulled up to reveal her stomach.
Now Sainsbury has shut down the claims she’s raking in money selling X-rated photos on subscription website OnlyFans, telling B105’s Stav, Abby and Matt this morning there was no truth to the claims.
She also revealed her relationship with another inmate has ended after leaving prison.

“I did not receive any money at all for any photos. The photos exist yes, but I was not paid for photos,” she said.
“I’d never even heard of this page (OnlyFans) until I got hordes of messages asking for my OnlyFans ID.”
The convicted drug smuggler had reportedly been raking in $400 a week selling the risque snaps to men in Australia after revealing on Facebook she was struggling to work because of her visa restrictions.
But host Abby Coleman confirmed she had actually been giving them out for “free”.
Sainsbury, who was released in April after serving less than three years of her six-year sentence due to coronavirus-related complications at her Bogota prison, also made another massive admission during the radio interview.
After almost five months on the outside, her relationship with Venezuelan woman Joli Pico who is still in prison has broken down, claiming her fiancee had moved on with someone else.
“Unfortunately things with Joli didn’t last,” she said.
“Basically, I came out of prison and she became a different person, and she got with somebody else inside as well.
“It was difficult, I didn’t know if it was going to work until at least one of us was on the outside.”
When asked by the radio hosts if she was “fully faithful” to the 29-year-old since leaving prison, Sainsbury replied, “Yes.”
Sainsbury was caught with 5.8kg of cocaine concealed in headphones in her suitcase as she attempted to leave Colombia in 2017.
She’s long claimed she attempted the drug bust under duress, citing a man threatened the lives of her family if she didn’t complete the job, but has never been able to provide evidence of this.
However she said she “stands by” her story.
Discussing life in prison, Sainsbury revealed some of the “scary” things she witnessed in jail. “Inside you see everything, I saw someone being stabbed” she said explaining she saw another person with “several parts of their body stitched up with more than 100 stitches” because they owed someone money and when you owe someone cash “they cut you up”.
Despite the brutal conditions, she said she “wouldn’t change” her experience.
“If I had to go back and go through the same thing again, I wouldn’t change what had happened if that makes sense,” Sainsbury admitted.
Now she just wants to “move forward” and still has sights on “teaching Spanish” as a career and is “getting back into fitness”.
She’s doesn’t yet have “an exact date” for when she’ll be able to return to Australia and revealed she has another 22 months on parole which she has to serve in Colombia.
After being released early in April, she claimed in a Skype interview with 60 Minutes reporter Liam Bartlett that she was “raped by the drug mastermind” before her arrest.
Recounting the days leading up to her arrest, Sainsbury said she checked into a local hotel where she met a 39-year-old Brazilian drug dealer she refers to as “Angelo”.
In the days that followed, he took her to his apartment where she claims her drink was spiked before she was sexually assaulted.
“He was saying that I had to be there with him, that I had to do what he wanted, that I didn’t have a choice,” she said.
“And then it was, he gave me a drink. And it was almost like, like I felt like I was getting drunk, like it was like, I was getting tipsy.
“And from there, he basically, he forced my clothes off.”
Sainsbury, who has claimed she didn’t realise she would be smuggling drugs until the last minute, said it was this sexual attack that led her to believe Angelo would follow through on threats he made towards her family if she didn’t go through with the plot.
Since being imprisoned in Colombia, Sainsbury has dramatically changed her appearance, losing weight and even speaking with an accent.
Sainsbury originally faced more than 20 years locked up but later negotiated a six-year sentence with a plea deal.
She’s been passing the time in lockdown by joining the popular social media platform TikTok. While her account is set to private, her videos are being shared by an external web viewer and show Sainsbury messing around with friends and sharing videos with the hashtags #gay #lesbian and #girls.
