19yo YouTube star dead from brain injury

A teenage dad who shot to internet fame on YouTube documenting his life with his wife and two kids has died from a brain injury.

Landon Clifford, 19, had been in a coma for six days before he died, his wife Camryn Clifford confirmed on Instagram.

The couple had amassed a following of 1.3 million followers on YouTube documenting their life together after becoming pregnant at 16 in 2017.

They have two daughters together, Collette Briar Clifford, 2, and Delilah Rose Clifford, who was born in May.

“August 13th 2020 was Landon’s last day being the best dad and husband he could be,” Camryn, 19, told her 472,000 Instagram followers.

“After spending the following 6 days in a coma he passed on and donated several organs to people in need all over the country. He died saving the lives of others. That’s the type of person he was.”

Camryn revealed that Landon had been in a medically induced coma after a brain injury, expressing her heartache at the fact that he would not be able to walk his baby girls down the aisle one day.

It’s not clear how Landon obtained his injury.

“(He was) compassionate, loving, thoughtful, kind, and gentle. He was an amazing husband and the best father those girls could of ever asked for,” she added.

“It saddens me deeply that they will never get to truly know him. He was so young and had so much more life to live. This isn’t how things were supposed to go … He was meant to die old with me. Words cannot come close to describe the pain I feel.”

Camryn accompanied her post with a photo that showed her hand tenderly touching her husband’s chest as he lay in a hospital bed.

In an Instagram Stories post shared on Tuesday, she added “the best parts of him are still alive” alongside a photo of her in bed with their eldest daughter.

In a post shared on Instagram earlier this month, Camryn implored her followers to help “stop the stigma around mental health”.

“You never know what someone else is going through so always choose to show kindness and grace,” she wrote.

Fans of the young couple have set up GoFundMe campaigns to help cover medical expenses and funeral costs, with one raising more than $27,000 since it was posted on Sunday.

Tributes have poured in for the young dad, with many fans sharing their disbelief at the tragic loss.

“Camryn this is devastating. I am so so sorry,” one said on Instagram.

“I can’t even put into words how sorry I am Cam,” another wrote.

One shocked fan said: “I was just thinking about why I haven’t seen any videos but could of never imagined anything like this.”
