Bride’s ‘face looks completely different’ after hens party ordeal
A 27-year-old who was attacked at 2am during her hens party has spoken out after the incident left her “face looking completely different”.
A bride-to-be has been left with a “face that looks completely different” just weeks before her big day after she was brutally attacked at her hens party.
Canada Rinaldi, 27, was hospitalised in an unprovoked attack outside a nightclub at 2am on March 23 while waiting for an Uber.
The young American woman, who was in Dallas with friends for her hens celebrations, was struck so hard that she was knocked out instantly, causing her to face plant onto the concrete.
A man named Trevor Woodards, who was recently released on parole, has since been arrested and charged with the assault, according to MailOnline.
“It’s just shocking. It’s hard to believe,” a crying Rinaldi told a local TV station. “I feel like a lot of my experiences were taken away from me.”
Ms Rinaldi’s dream getaway with her best friends “turned into a nightmare” following the incident, which left her with concussion, a broken nose, 3 broken teeth and 8 stitches to her face.
“She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and treated for her injuries,” a GoFundMe dedicated to raising money for her hospital bills explains.
“She’s been left to carry the burden of over $US10,000 in medical bills from the ambulance, hospital stay, and ongoing care.
“She is now trying to heal — not only physically, but emotionally and financially — when she should be counting down the days to her wedding.”
To date it has raised $US19,131 (around $30,000 Australian Dollars).
The assault was captured on dash camera video from an Uber driver and shows Ms Rinaldi being struck, as well as the moment one of her bridesmaids tried to push the man away.
The attacker then fled the scene, and Ms Rinaldi was seen being surrounded by police and concerned friends while lying unconscious in the street.
“It’s just so traumatic,” Kelly Peralta, the bridesmaid who was also struck, told local TV.
With her wedding just weeks away, Ms Rinaldi has said she’s struggling to get excited about tying the knot, stating her injuries have left her with a “face that looks completely different”.

“I’m getting there. It’s hard, but I’ll be okay,” she said.
However, she’s determined to walk down the aisle, despite her appearance.
“We’ve been planning for a long time. We’ve put a lot of money into our venue. We have everything ready to go, and we’ve been anticipating it for a long time,’ she told MailOnline. “So as long as I’m healthy, we still love each other regardless of what I look like. So we don’t see any reason to hold off.”
