‘Barking Dog Man’ goes viral again
The NSW man known as the “Barking Dog Man” has gone viral again, 14 years after he stunned everyone on national TV.
Every dog has its day — and so it was for NSW man Ray Graham, known as the “Barking Dog Man”.
Mr Graham went viral for a moment on A Current Affair in April 2010 when he was interviewed about rabid dogs terrorising his neighbourhood.
During the discussion, he said: “Yesterday morning, I came out into the front yard, and the dogs were across the road.
“And as soon as they saw me, they came bounding over,” he said, before proceeding to make extremely aggressive dog noises.
His wife, Kerry, seemed slightly awkward but otherwise nonplussed as he snarled ferociously.
“And I just made it into the front door,” he added after the sudden barking onslaught.
In the years since, the clip has become an internet sensation.
It made Mr Graham famous and he was even recognised on the street as recently as 2019.
By all accounts, his family loves it too and Mr Graham put on a show for them recently.
A new TikTok video shows the Barking Dog Man, also known as “Rabid Ray”, recreating his legendary growl 14 years after the fact.
The clip shows Mr Graham repeating the words from his interview and then once again barking like a rabid dog.
His faithful wife looked as embarrassed as she did the first time, while the rest of the group broke into raucous laughter.
His latest effort also attracted lots of comments and hundreds of thousands of views.
“The barking dog man meme is still massive,” one person wrote.
“Long live the barking dog man,” another added.
Mr Graham told the Daily Mail the clip had changed his life — and that he believed social media would keep it alive.
“It’s amazing how it took off the way it did, because it was just a spur of the moment thing,” he said.
“The funniest thing now is when I’m scrolling through Facebook looking for photos of my grandkids and I come across videos with my own face barking back at me.”
