Adult star Sophia Leone’s heartbreaking final message before alleged murder
Adult star Sophia Leone, who was allegedly murdered at the start of this month, shared a poignant message with her 300,000 followers.
Adult film star Sophia Leone told fans to “go outside and just appreciate life a little extra” in a tragic last post before her death, which her agency said is being investigated as a “home invasion homicide”.
The Miami-born woman, who was found “unresponsive” in her New Mexico apartment on March 1, had shared the poignant message to her 300,000 followers on Instagram in September, The New York Post reports.
“Go outside and just appreciate life a little extra today,” the 26-year-old said as she flashed the peace sign to the camera in the post, where she posed wearing white sunglasses and a white handbag slung over her shoulder.
The Los Angeles-based agency 101 Modelling, which handled some of Ms Leone’s bookings, said her death was being investigated as a “home invasion homicide”.
“Our hearts are broken by the untimely and tragic passing of our beloved Sophia Leone. A beautiful spirit who touched many of us. RIP sweet angel and know how much we loved you,” the agency said on X.
Meanwhile, tributes continued to pour in for Ms Leone.
“Sad sad day waking up learning Sophia Leone has passed away. I love you baby girl,” fellow adult film star Riley Kay Carlson said on X.
“You taught me so much in the industry early on. I hope you are in a better place now.”
Another porn actor, Riley Jean, wrote: “I’m so f**king sorry to anyone who knew Sophia. Her and I interacted with each other a handful of times but we were never super close. If anybody needs someone to talk to please feel free to send me a message. This is a hard time for all of us.”
Adult star Penelope Woods also mourned Ms Leone’s death.
“I pay my condolences to Sophia, you were nothing but genuine and kind to me and made me laugh the few times we hung out, it truly angers me that you were taken from this world,” she wrote.
“Thank you for blessing us with your presence. Rest in peace Sophia you will have a place in my heart always.”
Fans also shared messages of grief on Ms Leone’s page.
“Oh my god I cannot believe she is gone! Her soul was just too pure and beautiful. I cannot find proper words right now,” one said.
“Prayers to her and her family,” another added.
Ms Leone’s stepfather, Mike Romero, launched a GoFundMe page, where he shared the family’s grief.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to Share the news of our beloved Sophia’s Passing. The Sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and Friends devastated and in Shock,” he wrote.
“Sophia was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Grand Daughter, Niece and Friend. She had a deep love for all animals, specifically her 3 pets. She enjoyed travelling and always found ways to make everyone around her smile.”
Ms Leone, who broke into the industry in 2014, starred in over 80 films, according to her IMDb page.
News of her deaths comes days after it was reported that fellow porn star Emily Willis is “fighting for her life” after being found unresponsive at a rehab facility in Malibu, where she was being treated for addiction.
The 25-year-old, whose real name is Litzy Lara Banulos, had been at the celebrity rehab centre for eight days when she suffered a cardiac arrest on February 5, according to her stepfather, Michael Willis.
It was reported that she is in a “vegetative coma”, and although her condition has stabilised, the family is bracing for the worst.
