29yo reveals reason she’s getting plastic surgery on her vagina

A new vagina trend has emerged strongly in 2024 and one young Aussie has revealed why she’s embraced the “unrealistic standard”.

More and more young Aussie women think there is something wrong with their vagina and are going under the knife to alter aesthetics down there.

Sienna, 29, is based in Byron Bay, and she’s about to get labiaplasty surgery that will cost her a staggering $18,000 - and she’s not alone in her decision.

This year, a study published by Women’s Health Victoria and YouGov found more than 500,000 Aussie women had considered labiaplasty surgery, which involves the altering or removal of tissues from the labia.

The Real Bodies: Understanding and Celebrating Labia Diversity report also found 23 per cent of respondents between 18 and 25 said they felt anxious, unhappy or embarrassed about how their labia looked.

More than a third (35 per cent) also claimed they associated words like “disgusting” and “ugly” with their labia.

Vagina plastic surgery might have become increasingly popular, but it still isn’t discussed as openly as other procedures such as breast enlargement. Women altering their vaginas is a growing trend, but it is still considered taboo.

Sienna, who runs a lucrative OnlyFans account where she posts explicit content of herself, says she’s wanted the surgery “forever”.

“I have been in the sex industry for the past 10-and-a-half years. I’m constantly seeing my vagina,” she said.

“I’ve noticed that when I’ve aged, my vagina has aged with me. And I want a little vamp.”

Sienna explained that she knows, in theory, her vagina isn’t “bad”, but she has this desire to give that part of her anatomy a “freshen up”. Sienna said she also wanted to feel less “uncomfortable” when she goes without underwear, and believes the surgery could assist with this.

She’s also hyper-aware that she’s been influenced by the porn industry, where beauty standards even apply when it comes to your private parts.

“It does set an unrealistic standard. And, yeah, that is just the honest truth,” she said.

Sienna said the recovery time spans over two months, but she figures a lengthy recovery will be “worth it”.

“It’ll be worth it. Short-term loss for long-term gain,” she explained.
