THE world’s hottest maths teacher, Pietro Boselli, insists the only people who think models are stupid are those who are jealous they don’t have the career.

Boselli is an Italian engineer who lectured in maths at University College London while he was studying for his PhD.

The Sun reports he started modelling when he was six, but his career really took off after one of his students posted a picture of him on Facebook.

It went viral, winning him the ‘world’s sexiest maths teacher’ title as well as a contract with Models 1.

Top of Boselli’s career list is to debunk the stereotype of all models being unintelligent.

“In general, many professions do not require a great level of intellectual involvement, as intended in the more traditional way, such as classical education,” he told Indy100.

“Professions that rely heavily on talent are criticised as futile, unless one becomes extremely successful at them.

“This criticism usually arises from those who either lack the talent or lack an understanding of it.”

Boselli hopes his actions prove his point.

Although he’s worked for the likes of Armani, the model is as well known for his intellect.

It helps that learning has always been important to him — so much so that no matter how busy his modelling job got, he never skipped class.

“During the course of my studies I always prioritised my academic work,” he said.

“No matter how lucrative the [modelling] opportunities presented, I wouldn’t miss a single hour at college — luckily I could work in the summer after the exams were over.”

In fact, things are going so well Boselli is taking a break from engineering at the moment to concentrate on the catwalk, travelling the world in the process.

He cites the Facebook post as the reason he’s able to take the step.
