An Aussie woman has met her biological siblings for the first time in 60 years, and made a shock discovery about another sister who passed away.

An adopted Gold Coast woman has met her British biological siblings after six decades.

After connecting with her biological mother later in life, Suzy Fraser went on a search for her biological father.

Using the website MyHeritage, she discovered who he was and the amazing fact that she had three siblings on the other side of the world.

After four years of talking they finally met in Thailand.

“It was unbelievable,” Ms Fraser said speaking to Sunrise.

Finding out Ms Fraser had three siblings in the UK wasn’t the only shock.

There was another sibling named Suzie who had passed away and they shared remarkable similarities.

Her biological sister Sharon Day said that convinced her Australian Suzy was also her sister.

“I saw the photographs of our sister Suzie who was nineteen when she passed away and also the picture of (Australian) Suzy as she is now and it was as if it was the same person,” Ms Day said.

Ms Fraser said when she first did her search for her family using her DNA, she found a cousin.

“He said ‘I’m looking at a girl called Suzy who looks identical to you but she’s passed away’ and then all the searches showed I had another sister (and) we were pretty much identical,” Ms Fraser explained.

Speaking about whether her UK siblings ever suspected that they had a mystery sister, Ms Day said the only slight indication was her father’s mystery tattoo of another woman’s name.

“We didn’t know anything. It came as a big shock,” she said.

“He’d never said anything at all but I do know one thing – he had a tattoo on his arm of a girl’s name but he didn’t ever talk about it.

“So I’m guessing that was Suzy’s birth mother.”
