‘Regret’: TikToker’s $500 drunk Disneyland spending spree

A TikTok influencer has shared his useless purchases and intense regret after going on a drunken spending spree in Disneyland.

A TikTok influencer shared his Disneyland Paris journey after waking up from a drunk night of spending in the gift store and being appalled by what he had spent “hundreds of pounds” on.

Max Balegde gleefully shared a video with his 2.1 million followers of himself watching Disneyland’s night-time parade, openly admitting that he had “snuck a bottle of vodka” into Disneyland to celebrate his birthday.

“I’ve just had the best time with the [sic] fireworks and that castle,” he continued, slurring his words slightly.

While the 23-year-old was a very happy drunk and clearly wasn’t disturbing anyone, commenters were very easily able to predict what would happen next.

In fact, one fan commented: “feeling you will regret this in the morning”, and they were spot on.

Replying to the comment the next day with a new video, Balegde warned fans to “not ever get drunk at Disneyland”.

“You don’t understand the amount of money that I spent on things I don’t need,” he continued, before holding up a lanyard with six pins of Disney characters that he explained was a “product of two glasses of wine”.

“I’m giving it ‘oh I’m a pin collector now’ … guys this is like 80 quid,” he said, which is about $136 Aussie dollars.

“Where am I going wearing this? Am I going on a night out? No,” he lamented.

“Then I decided that sleepy Simba needs a new home, even though he’s £50,” he added, which adds another $85 dollars to his total.

“He’s really cuddly, but I’m going to have to remortgage the house – and I don’t even have a house. It gets worse, because then I snuck a bottle of vodka in for the fireworks show for me and my mate …

“On the way there was giant shop, biggest shop you’ve ever seen,” Balegde continued, before showing a giant tote bag full of stuffed toys, giant lollipops and more character pins to the camera and silently screaming.

“I’ve spent £300 ponds in one day on Disney propaganda,” said Balegde with his hands on his head. Which is over $512 Aussie dollars.

We have all been Balegde at one point or another. In fact there’s a whole sub-Reddit dedicated to the weird things people have purchased while under the influence – and it’s gold.

As much as Balegde is certain he has made a huge mistake, he’s also fully aware he’ll make the same one in the very near future.

“I probably will do the same today, and that terrifies me,” he finished the video, before posting an update in his comments:

“Currently just having my first glass of wine of the day and already bought a teddy. Come back tomorrow, I might be sobbing cba HELP ME.”
