Homeless man given $100 then secretly followed to see how he would spend it
A HOMELESS man was given $100 and secretly followed to see how he would spend it. What happened next will shock you.
SERIAL prankster Josh Paler Lin has struck again — but this time he was the one left shocked.
The YouTube personality gave a homeless man in Los Angeles $US100 ($120) and secretly followed him to see how he would spend it.
When the man walked straight into a liquor store, Paler Lin thought he exposed him as an alcoholic.
But what happened next surprised the prankster.
The itinerant, known as Thomas, walked out of the store with a bag of food which he shared with rough sleepers in nearby parks.
“I wasn’t expecting to get this kind of footage ... to be honest, I thought this video would be more an exposing homeless people video at first,” Paler Lin wrote on his YouTube page, acknowledging his own prejudice.
“But I’m so glad that I could witness and capture such a beautiful moment ... This again proof that not all the homeless people are bad people. Never judge a book by its cover.”
Thomas told Paler Lin he quit his job to take care of his sick parents. When they recently died, he found himself homeless and jobless.
Just met an amazing friend today. New video coming up soon... He's an incredible human being. ð±ð³ðð⦠http://t.co/CQUn7hGOM7

Inspired by his generosity, Paler Lin gave Thomas another $US100 and set up an IndieGogo fundraising page to “help Thomas get a fresh start”. He has raised more than $US55,000.
While some social media users say the scenario was staged, others have applauded Paler Lin’s compassion.
