MANY have experienced the annoyance of arriving at the supermarket and realising you don’t have a dollar coin for the trolley.

But one man has found a genius way to release the metal cart from its cage — without cash.

Comedian Joe Heenan has filmed himself using a white chocolate to pay for his shopping trolley.

The Perth-born joker shared the clever hack on his Twitter page, writing: “Couldn’t find a pound coin for the trolley so I used a Milky Bar Button instead. I’m a genius.”

In the short clip, the sweet treat slots perfectly into the coin holder and, miraculously, doesn’t get mushed up.

Joe’s video has been applauded by his 12,400 Twitter followers who rushed to praise his inventive actions.

“Best use for Milky Bar buttons I’ve ever seen,” wrote one user.

Another added: “This changed everything! I’m heading to Vegas with a bumper bag of milky buttons to play the slot machines!”

However, his behaviour upset some social media users.

“This is actually a crime and I’m reporting you to the chocolate police,” wrote one.

While another commented: “How dare you waste perfectly good chocolate sir, how very dare you.”
