Fail: 'These aren't my pants' says man found with drugs in pocket

MAN found with drugs in his pocket tells arresting policeman that "these aren't my pants, they're my uncle's". D'oh, fail.

IT will probably go down as one of the worst excuses of all time.

James Edwin White was on a bike when he was stopped and searched by a police deputy after he was spotted acting suspiciously in Grove City, Florida, last week.

According to the police report, helpfully posted on Facebook by the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, White was "trembling" and "stuttering" as he allowed the deputy to search him. Twice.

When the deputy began his search he saw White shifting items around in his front pocket.

He then found a cellophane wrapper with nine Oxycodone pills inside White's pants pocket.

As he did, the 30-year-old blurted out: "Oh, wait, these aren’t my pants!”

White then explained the pants belonged to his uncle and he had no knowledge of the pills.

Uh-huh.

White's excuse is up there with some of the lamest of all time.

Shane Warne gets a gong when, in 2003, he blamed his mum for giving him diet pills that ended with him being banned from cricket for a year for taking a banned substance.

So does actor Eddie Murphy who, when pulled over by police with a transvestite prostitute in his car in 1997, told them: "I was giving her a ride home."
