Dandenong woman attacked by three dogs had been savaged by one just days earlier: report

Shocking details have emerged after a woman, now fighting for her life, was savaged by three dogs.

A woman who is fighting for her life after being savaged by three dogs had been attacked by one of the pets just days before, it has been reported.

Jordan Garrett was attacked by the dogs on a property on Ross Street, in Dandenong, in Melbourne’s southeast, at about 10am on Thursday.

Police were forced to shoot the dogs when they did not stop attacking Ms Garret, who is aged in her 20s.

It is thought that one of the dogs was a pit bull and other two were American bulldogs.

She remains in a critical condition in hospital as police investigate.

It has now been reported, by The Age, that Ms Garrett had been attacked by one of the animals earlier in the week, according to a neighbour who said there had been concern in the community about the dogs for some time.

“I was home sick from work, and I heard screaming and smashing,” the neighbour told the publication.

“Then police came, and the shooting began.”

The revelations come after CCTV footage emerged of an attack allegedly involving one of the same animals in July.

The footage shows a large dog mauling a smaller one.

The Greater Dandenong City Council said it had received complaints about the dogs at the property and was prosecuting over the July attack.

The matter is set for court in November.
