The best and worst of kid tantrums
IN the smartphone age, kids have got to be careful, because an epic wobbly is just a few clicks away from a global audience.
FOR most parents when your child throws a tantrum it’s no fun and games, but there are other times when you just can’t help but laugh.
But in the smartphone age of today, kids have got to be careful, because a wobbly is just a few clicks away from a global audience. And a mortifying 21st video show.
Here are some of the best viral tantrums from fed-up parents, innocent bystanders and pranksters like talk show host Jimmy Kimmel:
1. CHRISTMAS GRINCH
Christmas is a time of giving and also a time to be thankful for even the smallest gesture from a loved one. And by small we mean an onion, a half eaten sandwich or a free Waffle House hat. Talk Show host Jimmy Kimmel is a legend at making videos that crack adults up like this one. Note: No kids were harmed in the making of this.
2. BABY BOOMER
Take note: If you’re going to tell your kids that you’re expecting another child, don’t do it at the start of a car trip in case you get a reaction like this. In this clip, a young fella flipped out when his mum told him the big news and he repeatedly shook his head saying, ‘It makes no sense!”
3. INVISIBLE MELTDOWN
If a bear farts in the forest and there is no one around to hear it, does it make a sound? This little analogy is the same for temper tantrums, if no one is there to listen, did it really happen? Watch this kid follow his parents around the house, picking himself up and launching himself on the floor every time he realises they aren’t watching. Because if mum and dad aren’t there to see you kick and scream and blow snot out your nose, what’s the point, right?
4. CANDY CANE
It’s a prank so cruel, it’s actually kind of hilarious. If you want to see your child’s true colours? Tell him/her you ate all of their Halloween candy. Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel pulls off this tireless trick every year as he recruits parents all over America to tell their children that they had eaten their Halloween sweets, film their reactions and then upload it to YouTube. And every year it gets funnier, with responses ranging from tears to threats of physical violence.
5. A LITTLE EMOTIONAL
Do you ever just feel like crying? You know, when a dog dies in your favourite movie or a really sad Christmas ad comes on the TV? Well, this little guy knows how you feel. He gets all choked up over his mum’s singing and it’s so damn adorable that the video has been watched by over 35 million people on YouTube. Aw, someone get that kid a tissue.
