AT just 12 years old, Clementine Mobbs has started up three businesses with her latest venture bringing in about $3000 a day.

The Coogee tweenager imports two wheel electric scooters, or ‘hover boards’ to sell on her website myjyro.com

“I saw it on Instagram and thought it was cool,” she said.

“I thought it was a good idea because it was a new product and no one had seen them before and there was a lot of interest.

“They are mostly stocked online and only in the US.”

Clementine was inspired from a young age to have her own business, by her self-employed mother.

When she was eight she had scone and lemonade stalls at the front of her house.

By 10 she was selling candles at the weekly markets.

Now she has a website that sells five scooters a day.

Her little brother helps with advertising.

“We use social media because you don’t have to pay on social media, and we go out and show it at the beaches,” he said.

When she set up the website she started with ten samples. Now she sells about 30 a week.

“We sell about five a day, selling $3000 a day.”

Her advice to other keen entrepreneur is to brainstorm until you find the perfect idea.

“You have to go through 100 ideas to find the one that will work. So keep trying to find the one that does.”
