Teenager’s birthday party goes horribly wrong after man threatens people with a knife
AN 18-year-old girl’s birthday party has descended into chaos after a man threatened people with a knife and dragged her up the driveway by her hair.
A QUEENSLAND girl celebrating her eighteenth birthday has been dragged up a driveway after a vicious brawl broke out.
The 18-year-old’s festivities descended into chaos last night when the revellers were returning to a unit on Arwen Street, Maroochydoore.
Before entering the Sunshine Coast unit, a man appeared with a knife and started attacking the group.
Speaking to Nine News this morning, the birthday girl, with obvious grazes on her face, said she’d been dragged up the driveway.
“The girl that I invited to my birthday punched me in the face and got on top of me and I had the boy drag me up the driveway by my hair.
“Then I had the other girl get on top of me and try and strangle me. By the time the police turned up I was actually on the driveway not able to breathe,” she said.
Footage taken at the scene shows police talking to fellow partygoers in the early hours of this morning.
It's understood Queensland Police has arrested a man.
