A YOUNG teen live-streamed her suicide on Facebook.

Naika Venant died on Sunday after broadcasting the tragedy from the bathroom of her Miami home for two hours.

Her friends and family were shocked by the 14-year-old’s death, many asking why she did it.

On Sunday, her Facebook page was filled with messages from friends asking if she was OK when the live stream cut off.

One heartbreaking post said: “last thing she said was ‘I love you’.”

Naika lived with her foster family and the Miami Herald reported the Miami Gardens Police Department and child welfare administrators were investigating the death.

The Miami Herald reported one of Naika’s friends saw the live stream and tried to help, but it was too late.

She told police the wrong address for Naika but the people who lived at that address knew where she lived but when they arrived they couldn’t revive her.

A family friend said Naika was academically smart and loved to smile.

She dreamt of writing a book about her life and wrote in a journal daily.

“We are absolutely horrified and devastated by the news of this young girl’s death,” Department of Children & Families secretary Mike Carroll said.

“We will do everything we can to support this family and all those who cared for her as they begin to heal from this tragedy. We will conduct a comprehensive, multidisciplinary special review to examine this child’s history and the circumstances related to serving the child.”
