‘Serious burn injuries’: Child seriously injured from Temu hoodie as product recalled
The glow in the dark hoodies have been recalled after a child was seriously injured, with consumers urged to destroy or dispose of the items immediately.
A child has been seriously injured from a hoodie sold on Temu, with the products now recalled.
Several glow in the dark hoodies from online marketplace giant Temu have been recalled over concerns of a risk of “serious burn injuries”.
The Pink Rainbow Unicorn, Purple Rainbow Unicorn, Blue Dinosaur and Space Planet hoodies are included in the Product Safety Australia recall alert as it doesn’t include the required warning label.
“The product does not comply with the mandatory standard for nightwear for children,” the alert states.
A child has been seriously injured as a result.
“There is a risk of serious burn injuries if exposed to a heat or flame source. Consumers may not be aware of this risk,” the PSA alert states.

Consumers have been urged to keep the product out of reach of children and destroy or dispose of it immediately.
“Consumers will receive a full refund from Temu on behalf of the trader Sunshine Towels,” the alert states, with more information available on the Temu Support Centre.
