A TEACHER allegedly had an illicit affair with a 13-year-old boy who got her pregnant — with his family’s blessing.

A TEACHER allegedly had an affair with a 13-year-old student who got her pregnant — with his family’s blessing.

The New York Post reports a warrant was issued for 24-year-old Alexandria Vera’s arrest on Tuesday after she went on the run.

She turned herself in to Montgomery County police the next day, Click2Houston reported.

Vera met — and fell in love with — the boy at Stovall Middle School in Houston, Texas, according to court documents obtained by ABC 13. They reportedly got together during summer school last year.

After the boy, who is now 14, skipped class one day, he sent Vera a message on Instagram, asking her for her number and if they could hang out alone, according to KPRC Houston.

Vera — who has a four-year-old daughter, according to WWL-TV — told investigators at the district attorney’s office that the next day, she drove to his house when his parents weren’t home and had sex with him for the first time.

Their illegal relationship continued throughout the school year — with students noticing the two flirting in between classes.

“He like grabbed her butt and everyone saw it,” one student told ABC 13. “And then they were talking about it.”

“That kid was always over (Vera’s house in Spring, Texas) and she always told (neighbours) it was her brother,” a neighbour told WFAA-ABC.

At the school’s open house, Vera officially met his parents and was introduced as his girlfriend.

His parents became increasingly welcoming to Vera by January, when she announced she was pregnant with the teen’s child, according to local reports.

Vera reportedly terminated the pregnancy after she and the boy were questioned by Child Protective Services in February.

Vera is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Aldine ISD, the school district, issued a statement: “Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behaviour with a male student.

“When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave. Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

“The safety and security of Aldine ISD’s students and staff remains a priority of the school district.”
