Mum who mooned kids at sports day now at new school

The mum who tripped at her daughter’s sports day and mooned the whole class has revealed she’s moved to a new school after the bum-bearing blunder.

Mum’s complete fail at daughter’s sports day

The mum who tripped at her daughter’s sports day and mooned the whole class has revealed that she’s moved her kids to a new school after the bum-bearing blunder.

Katie Hannaford suffered a gnarly fall during a sports day at her daughter’s school in Essex last year and went viral for accidentally flashing teachers, parents and students alike as her kid watched on.

Her eight-year-old daughter had convinced her to run in the parents’ race, but shortly after the whistle blew, keen Katie tripped up and landed head-over-heels in the grass in hilarious footage shared online.

To make matters worse, the poor mum’s dress flew up over her head, revealing her underwear to shocked onlookers.

Luckily, homeware company owner Katie saw the funny side, describing her trip as “hilarious” — and even winning a “Bottoms Up” participation trophy.

She said: “I’m not sporty at all, but [my daughter] kept begging me.

“In the end I agreed to the race – I knew I’d come last.

“I just tripped over my own feet – I think my body was just moving too fast for my legs!

“I’m so clumsy, I’m always falling over. I was humiliated at the time, but it is what it is!

“I flashed my underwear which is obviously embarrassing but you just have to own it.

“Looking back, it’s hilarious – definitely the funniest thing I’ve ever done in my life!”

Sharing the clip online herself, Katie added: “When the kids got more at sports day than they were expecting! Haha.

“If you can’t laugh at yourself then what’s life about ay!

“Sorry kiddos and anyone else watching!”

Katie was even awarded the “Bottoms Up” prize for her efforts, but she’s since made the move to a new school. Picture: Facebook.

Now, Katie has revealed her daughter has moved to a new school, so “no one is aware of it”, she told LADBible.

Despite her good humour, the mum said she wouldn’t be partaking in another sports day.

“I’ve promised my girls I’ll never do another parents’ race ever again,” she said.

“There was a parents dance recently at my daughter dance competition. They announced it, the girls looked at me and said ‘No, mum’.

“I agreed to give it a miss!”
