Queensland mum Trish LaForty shocked at anonymous note neighbours dropped in her letterbox

A QUEENSLAND mum has lashed out at her cowardly critics who posted an anonymous note about her crying baby.

A QUEENSLAND mum arrived home to a shock when a nasty note accusing her of poor parenting was stuffed in her mailbox.

Trish LaForty, who lives in Coolum with her son and partner, found the handwritten note in her letterbox last week.

Trish’s Facebook post received plenty of support.

The note’s authors are yet to confess.

“You may be able to ignore your baby crying but we are tired of listening to him crying non-stop all day,” it read.

Ms LaForty took to Facebook hitting out against her cowardly neighbours. She posted to a popular Sunshine Coast community group hoping the note’s authors might see it.

“Thanks. Like being a parent isn’t tough enough, it’s good to know our neighbours support us,” she wrote.

“You didn’t even have the guts to come knock on our door, you left it in the letterbox and didn’t leave your name, number, or address.

“And FYI: our baby doesn’t cry ‘all day’ … he cries when he doesn’t want to go to sleep, when he’s getting his nappy changed, when I say “no” because I refuse to let him be spoiled and run around like he owns the joint.”

Ms LaForty has received a huge outpouring of support with her post garnering hundreds of likes and being shared globally.

But her Facebook post is yet to capture the attention of the note’s authors.

“Everyone has had the same reaction as us,” she told the Sunshine Coast Daily.

“Our neighbour said she had never heard our baby cry before.”
