Pregnant woman stuns as she makes baby bump ‘disappear’

A woman who is 28 weeks pregnant has revealed how she makes her baby bump completely vanish – leaving the internet stunned.

A mum-to-be has shown how she can make her 28 week baby bump “disappear” with a clever trick she thinks will help with labour too.

Kat is gearing up to welcome her first baby into the world, and as she does so, she’s thinking about different ways she can make the process of labour less painful.

One such way is by regularly using the muscles she will rely on during labour, particularly her abs, which she does by “sucking in” her bump, and the result is truly jaw-dropping, The Sun reports.

In a viral clip, she shared how she pretends her bump is a “balloon”, proceeding to let the air out as she slowly sucked her stomach in.

As she did so, her bump got smaller and smaller until it was barely there.

“Keeping that pelvic floor engaged = not looking pregnant when I do abs,” she captioned the video.

Experts say sucking in your stomach while pregnant is completely harmless when done for short periods of time, but caution against doing so for prolonged periods and in certain conditions.

People were quick to share their shock on TikTok, flooding the comments section with a mix of remarks.

“Wow!” one wrote, as another joked: “God I can’t even do that and I’m not pregnant!”

“I did this and it literally felt like I did 30 sit ups,” someone else admitted.

As one questioned: “How can some women do this?”

Others wondered what kind of impact Kat’s trick would have on her little one.

“Babies ears just popped at the end,” one joked.

“Baby comes out begging for a rest day,” another added.

“Baby squashed, poor thing!” a third wrote.

“I have heard you should not do this,” someone else commented.

To which another responded: “You heard wrong. It’s good for your muscles.”

Abdominal exercises in pregnancy can support your bump and pelvic floor, but added these should only be performed under the guidance of a certified pregnancy fitness expert to avoid complications.

Australian influencer Tammy Hembrow sparked similar concern back in 2022 when she shared a video of herself sucking in her baby bump when pregnant with her third child, Posey.

Her video quickly went viral, amassing millions of views, and thousands of comments from worried fans.
