Popular prenatal product has been recalled after leakages were reported

A prenatal capsule supplier has pulled a batch of their products from shelves after a malfunction that caused an “unusual” smell was reported.

A popular pregnancy product has been pulled off the shelves following claims there are leakages and seepage coming out of packaging.

Kin Fertility Pty Ltd has pulled a handful of batches of The Prenatal capsules are they received reports of quality problems.

The capsules have had leakage, seepage and spotting problems that are clearly visible and cause an “unusual” smell.

It is recommended that consumers who are worried their product may be one of the affected batches should check the batch number near the directions for use displayed on the jar or sachet.

Extensive testing has been done by the supplier and there is no safety danger or efficacy issues related with the apparent malfunction.

The product can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.

If the product was purchased directly, customers are asked to email product.recall@eucalyptus.vc and organise a refund.

Kin Fertility Pty Ltd founder Nicole Liu said the recalled batches were affected as a result of cosmetic issues.

“This means that while there is no safety concern, the products were clearly not up to standard,” Ms Liu said.

“We’re so sorry that this has happened and for any concern or stress that it has caused.

“Our team is working hard, taking all the necessary steps with our manufacturers and warehouses to make sure this issue does not happen again in future batches.”

Consumers are encouraged to report any issues with medicines or vaccines to the Therapeutic Goods Administration so they affected products can be monitored.
