Mum-to-be trashes gender party after finding out she’s having a girl

An expecting mother has shocked the internet after she destroyed her own gender reveal party for a surprising reason.

An expectant mother from went Wreck-It Ralph during a celebration dedicated to the sex of her baby, flipping over tables, smashing decorations and ripping off her festive regalia after learning she would be having a daughter.

“When you destroy your gender reveal because you didn’t want another girl,” wrote a Chicago-based TikToker known as @AintYouKYB, in the caption of the trending temper tantrum, the NY Post reported.

Video of the hissy fit, which has scared up an eye-popping 1.2 million views from outraged audiences, shows a pregnant Mariha Lashawn — who is tagged in the post, and has also shared footage of the uproar on her own TikTok account — angrily bashing up her baby bash while stunned partygoers, including small children, watch in horror.

“Y’all, I’m still in shock,” read the caption of the clip.

And online onlookers were just as aghast by the outburst.

“This is childish as f**k,” wrote a disapproving commenter.

“Hello CPS…,” penned another, threatening to alert Child Protective Services of the mummy-in-waiting’s behaviour.

“This is what internalised misogyny in women looks like. She’s about to torture that [baby] girl,” a separate viewer said.

A woman who has struggled with fertility added, “It breaks my heart watching this I lost a baby and I’d give anything to have been able to have it here and healthy.”

The Post reached out to Ms Lashawn and the TikToker for comment.

The incensed mum’s violent display isn’t the only snafu that’s ruined a gender reveal in recent months.

In May, a woman’s fiance totally derailed the announcement of their incoming tot’s sex when he kicked a gender reveal ball — which was meant to explode into a colourful cloud of either pink or blue dust — into a neighbour’s backyard.

A separate woman claimed that her meddling mother-in-law spoiled her big day, which was also in May, by telling family and friends the baby’s sex ahead of the gender reveal party.

But in this virally ferocious mother’s case, some social media spectators were on her side.

Surprisingly, a collection of empathetic viewers backed the woman, revealing that they’ve, too, endured the pregnancy pangs of gender disappointment.

“Gender devastation is a real thing. I cried for days when I found out I was having another girl,” said a commiserating commentator.

“I feel that pain. I had 6 girls, never got a boy,” penned another.

“I’m not saying it’s right,” added an equally supportive viewer. “I’m saying I understand.”
