AUSSIE singer-songwriter Missy Higgins has welcomed a new baby girl into the world.

Missy introduced her daughter to her fans on Instagram.

She shared an adorable selfie of Luna nursing and nestled up in her chest.

“Welcome to the world little Luna,” she captioned the post.

It looks like the photo, which shows Missy barefaced and smiling, was taken not long after the little bundle arrived.

Just four days ago the mum-of-two shared a photo to Instagram of her bare belly, and her feelings about being so close to the end of pregnancy.

“Holy moly. This pregnancy has been hard I’m not gonna lie, but I am excited to meet the little bundle on the other side now,” she wrote.

Missy has had a busy year working while pregnant. She performed as the opening act for Ed Sheeran’s Australian shows.

It was here, while singing at the Perth concert, that she announced her exciting pregnancy news.

Missy revealed that she had always wanted to write a song to her children about the day she met their father, who she married in 2016.

“And on that note, I’d like to tell you guys that I’m expecting,” she said unexpectedly.
